Nice pipe, I always wonder how to make the hole through the long part to the mouth. Do you separate it and fasten it together after making a hole?

Thank you! The maple piece I use for the long mouthpiece is a straight block, then I drill it and round it with lathe, then I bend it with steam. I've discovered some days ago that bog oak is bendable too, so I'm planning to make a pipe like this all made of bog oak (I have small pieces bought from etsy).

Thanks to let me know that. I didn't expect that bog oak was bendable too. Maybe when it is wet. If bog oak is dry, it almost won't take in some water again.

No problem at all! About bog oak, I've used a piece air dried for two years, it was really dry, and I didn't expect that too... but it seems to react well to steam, like normal oak, it becomes very soft.
